Sunday Mornings

Children’s Bible Study

9 a.m.

Our children gather for an exciting time of studying through the entire Bible in chronological order. We start with some kid friendly worship that helps teach our kids the songs we sing as a church and to express their love to God. Next, John our children’s pastor, teaches our Bible story with his high-energy-conversational-never-know-what-might-happen style. While the teaching is kid friendly, the Bible’s Gospel that Jesus is the only rescue from the sin and death is always the centerpiece. Our kids then break into small groups with their loving teachers and review the Bible story and continue to apply it to their lives. Every week the children receive a colorful trading card with a Bible story picture and helps for parents to teach your children through the week.

Preschool Bible Study

9 a.m.

Our preschoolers gather for age and development graded classes where they get to explore the entire Bible over three years in chronological order. They sculpt with play dough (gluten free if needed), color, paint, march, and create to learn a foundation that will empower them for a life of gospel living. Jesus is the hero of every story, Old and New Testament, and He shines every week. The children receive a colorful trading card with a Bible story picture and aids for parents to teach their children through the week. Our younger preschoolers and babies are loved and nurtured by sweet teachers who will work with you to help your little one have a great church gathering experience.

Worship Gathering & Worship Care

10:30 a.m.

At Providence, we are committed to our families and love to see families gather together in corporate worship. We believe that parents are the best disciplers of their children, and we want to support you to lead your family well. We have a Scripture memory time in our worship service to help children and parents memorize God’s Word together. Our music usually engages our kids, and our kids love Chad, our Worship Leader, especially when he plays his banjo! However, we also understand that children develop uniquely so we provide options for younger children during the worship gathering. Our babies through kindergarteners may stay in their classrooms during the entire worship gathering. First and second graders may return to the children’s area during the sermon portion of worship. During this time our older preschoolers and the elementary children who return have a video review of our Bible story and pray together in light of the Scripture they have learned. If your child is noisy during the worship gathering, we understand. It is just part of growing up and learning to be a community.
